Volunteer Time Off

MacLellan's Volunteer Time Off Program (VTO) is a fantastic benefit that is provided to all employees. This benefit allows eligible employees to take up to 5 days off each year (depending on years of service with MacLellan) to participate in individual and group community service projects. MacLellan will pay employees their regular hourly rate to volunteer, plus ensure coverage of work and no labor loss to the customer. MacLellan will further support the volunteer efforts by making a donation to the organization for every 4 hours of work volunteered by an employee. At the end of the year, MacLellan will draw names of team members that have volunteered, and the selected winner will be able to present a donation check to the organization of their choice.

MacLellan employees and their families volunteer their time and efforts in a variety of capacities, including food pantries, homeless shelters, animal shelters and humane societies, habitat projects, veteran and military fundraising events, child advocacy centers, international emergency life and crisis responses, health and cancer awareness walks, elementary school mentoring programs, last wish dreams come true events and so much more.

MacLellan and its employees have volunteered countless hours, donated over $2 million dollars, and have seen the lives and communities of many areas changed through consistent and continual efforts. We are grateful to give back in so many ways and look forward to how the programs will grow and expand in the future.
