During our 2023 Leadership Awards, Jeremy Conn was awarded the prestigious "Excellence in Leadership" award. This award is given annually to the best of the best based on how the individual lives our Cultural DNA Code through Being Trustworthy, Having Integrity, Owning Responsibility, Embracing Community, and Being Excellent.

Jeremy was selected as this year's award winner from six nominees and three finalists. Jeremy's story is incredible, he does all the things you would expect from a leader as it pertains to our business systems; however, what sets Jeremy apart is how he affects people's lives on a day-to-day basis. Jeremy has implemented a second chance program with our business partner, Edgewater Recovery Center. Through this program Jeremy has impacted the lives of people in our community by not only providing them with a source of income, but also helping them to establish bank accounts, purchase vehicles, find housing, and regain custody of their children.

All the while why Jeremy is doing all these remarkable things to help others, he is also leading the way with our business systems. The safety performance at his site is exemplary, not having had a recordable injury in over 5-years and scoring over 98% in his silver site safety audit. Jeremy and his team are advocates and leaders for our SAVE program, finding ways at his site to make our work safer, easier, and faster. When it comes to the MacLellan business systems, whether the topic is Safety, SAVE, SMART, AR/Unbilled, OE, A4 Problem Solving, or any of our other processes, we can always count on Jeremy to be at the forefront leading the charge.

When Jeremy was announced as this year's Excellence in Leadership award winner, he responded in the typical fashion you would expect from him. He stepped to the podium and said, "Thank you, but it's the team". Jeremy epitomizes a humble servant leader. Congrats to Jeremy! We are truly fortunate to have someone who lives our Cultural DNA Code both in and out of work.
