Felix Opoku

MACLELLAN EMPLOYEE SINCE 2012

Drive, determination, accountability—all characteristics that help define Felix Opoku. Felix was hired into the MacLellan team working in a paint shop at an OEM site in late 2012. At that time the site was looking to fill an open Team Leader position. This position is the first supervisory position at MacLellan and is essential to site success. Felix was selected to help strengthen that position.

It did not take long to see Felix’s leadership characteristics emerge. A few months into his MacLellan career, Felix was promoted to the Group Leader position in the spring of 2013.

Felix’s dedication was put on full display when he accepted a short term role at another OEM facility. For 7 months Felix successfully filled this Group Leader position at a facility far from home.

Felix returned to his home contract in January of 2014. When he returned he was asked to support in a recently awarded fascia shop. Felix dove into the operation and developed an excellent understanding of the scope of work. He engaged his team members and helped to develop strong 5S practices.

In May of 2014 Felix was promoted to Assistant Contract Manager. Felix had an immediate positive impact on the contract. His drive and motivation to deliver a high quality service to the customer was evident. When Felix was questioned on what the driving factors were behind his motivation, he responded, “I refuse to let myself, my customer or MacLellan down”. In January of 2016 Felix was promoted to Contract Manager where he will be responsible for all aspects of the operation. Felix has excelled in all of his previous assignments—we are excited to see Felix continue his career growth with MacLellan.
